You’re Tithing… But Are You Covered? (Understanding “Increase”)
Tithing dreams are not about arithmetic—they’re about recognition, covenant, and peace.
🌙 The Dream: A Quiet Correction
After a day when my body felt off and my spirit unsettled, I rested—nutrition, prayer, stillness. In the night, I saw hands reaching for what was mine: misplaced cards, disappearing funds, confusion. Then a whisper:
“Integrity keeps the hedge. Remember the holy portion.”
đź•Š️ The Real Problem
Many dream of money loss or blocked doors and assume punishment. The deeper issue is misunderstanding covenant. We inherited formulas; the Most High invites recognition.
✨ Revelation: Tithe = The First of Your Increase
In Torah, the tithe was not a guess or a guilt tool. It was the set-apart, joyful acknowledgment of the increase that actually entered your hand—the harvest that “the field brought forth,” the animals that “passed under the rod.”
“Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.” — Deuteronomy 14:22, KJV
If hail ruined part of the crop, Israel tithed the harvested increase—not the loss. The heart today is the same:
honor the first and best of what the Most High truly gave you.
Mapping “Increase” in Real Life
- Wage earner: Increase is what actually reaches your possession. (Some give beyond that as a freewill offering—beautiful, but not law.)
- Business owner: Tithe on true profit/increase, not gross receipts (cost of goods/required expenses aren’t personal increase).
- Gifts & forgiven debts: These raise your position—acknowledge with the holy portion.
✅ The Simple Way Back to Peace
- Ask: “What increase actually entered my life?”
- Acknowledge: “The first and best of that belongs to You.” (Prov. 3:9)
- Act: Set it apart first—joyfully, not fearfully. (2 Cor. 9:7)
- Abide: Watch how order, peace, and provision align. (Mal. 3:10–11)
🍎 A Picture You Can Hold
Ten apples in your hand = a “whole.” The first is holy. If three spoiled before harvest, you don’t tithe the loss—you honor the One who gave the increase you actually gathered.
🛡️ Guard Your Peace from Accusation
When thoughts say, “It won’t work,” or “You’re unworthy,” answer aloud:
“That’s not what the Most High said. I cast that down. I don’t receive it.” (2 Cor. 10:5)
