“If I could do it all over again, I would have fought harder.”
— A Declaration from a Formerly Convicted Man
Justice doesn’t always arrive in a courtroom.
Sometimes it walks in years later, whispering through a dream.
Sometimes it comes as a decision — not to retaliate, but to rebuild.
And sometimes… justice begins when you choose not to become what broke you.
💔 When the Cycle Could’ve Repeated — But Didn’t
This post isn’t about headlines or courtroom trials.
It’s about the inner war that many never speak of — the one where survivors of harm stand at a spiritual fork in the road.
I know that fork well.
I am the youngest of eleven children.
And for several formative years, I endured inappropriate, traumatic violations at the hands of relatives.
Each time, I confronted the truth.
Each time, I was met with silence or denial.
I had every human reason to pass it on — to grow numb, bitter, and unsafe to others.
But I chose a different inheritance.
What was done to me would not be done by me.
And that is the difference between legacy and bondage.
💭 Why Dreams Revisit What We Thought Was Buried
Unhealed trauma has a strange way of finding us — especially in our sleep.
Dreams carry symbolism that often makes no sense in the moment but haunts us afterward.
They return with scenes that feel like:
Repetition
Shame
Accusation
Or painful confusion
But your dream isn’t accusing you.
It’s inviting you to confront something that has remained unresolved — spiritually, emotionally, or generationally.
🧩 Examples of "Telling Dreams" That Reveal Soul-Level Pain
Silent scream: You try to cry out but can’t — often points to silencing, disbelief, or trauma.
You harming someone: Not literal guilt, but confronting inherited pain or rage.
Hidden rooms: Unhealed memories, inner chambers the soul still hides from.
Frozen in place: Trauma’s grip on forward movement.
On trial or being judged: A soul calling itself into account.
A child in danger, ignored by others: The cry of your inner child, finally asking to be seen.
Cleaning someone else’s mess: Generational or emotional burden that was never yours to carry.
These dreams are not signs of dysfunction — they are signals that your soul is trying to heal.
🔄 Cycles Aren’t Broken by Time — But by Truth
The people who harmed me were human.
They bled red.
They had choices.
So did I.
And my choice was to stop the cycle with me.
Because your trauma does not excuse your choices — it only explains them.
There is a part of your spiritual DNA that predates pain.
And that part of you remembers:
“This isn’t who I am.”
📢 To Those Who’ve Hurt, Been Hurt, or Looked Away
If you’re someone who has caused harm…
If you’ve survived and stayed silent…
Or if you’ve turned your head when others cried out…
You still have a choice.
You don’t have to live condemned.
But you do have to own what’s yours — and choose differently from this moment on.
Dreams may confront you,
but they also redeem you…
if you respond with humility and truth.
🕊 Justice Isn’t Always Legal. Sometimes It’s Personal.
Fair justice doesn’t always carry a gavel.
Sometimes it looks like a soul refusing to echo what broke it.
True justice:
Ends cycles.
Confronts silence.
Speaks truth without bitterness.
Heals what systems and elders never could.
Let it begin with you.
