Okay family... the winter season is upon us.
It’s that time of year when so many people silently shrink under the weight of holiday expectations—caught between memories that hurt and futures they’re unsure of how to face.
For some, the holidays bring joy.
But for others, they trigger deep emotional fatigue.
Loneliness. Disappointment. Grief.
And often—the excuse of the broken heart.
😔 The Soul’s Winter: When Sadness Distorts the Dream
Even for those of us rooted in faith—who study, who teach, who believe—it’s easy to let the soul grow cold.
But here’s what I’ve come to understand:
Our inner life creates the filter for how we dream.
If that filter is pain, fear, or regret… the dreams will echo it.
If it’s hope, healing, or accountability… the dreams will reflect that too.
In my own life, and in others, I’ve seen how incompleteness and emotional stagnation become internal narratives. Stories we keep resuscitating—long after they were supposed to expire.
We relive what broke us.
We reattach to what God removed.
And we call it normal, seasonal, or just how I am.
But truth?
That’s an excuse. A criminal one—against your own becoming.
🧠 The Emotional Smoke Screen: Are You Sabotaging Your Future?
What if what you believe about your past is blocking your next vision?
What if the thing you call discernment is really disguised grief?
Dreams during these seasons may show you:
Losing things or people
Repeating past failures
Wandering or standing still
Being silenced, chased, or isolated
But here’s the thing: those dreams aren’t just sad—they’re coded.
They’re not just telling you how broken you feel.
They’re asking you to finally let the brokenness break open... so you can be whole.
🧭 Redesign the Experience. Reclaim the Dream.
That recurring sadness? That heavy ache? That “I just don’t fit anymore” feeling?
It’s real.
But it doesn’t get to win.
You were not created to live in a dreamscape of regret or rehearsal of what hurt you.
You were designed to live forward, not fall backward.
And if you’ve been dreaming in circles—stuck in sorrow—this might be your wake-up call:
👉 It’s time to stop using pain as a placeholder.
👉 It’s time to stop calling emotional self-sabotage your identity.
👉 It’s time to recognize: you are the architect of your future joy.
Your peace, your clarity, your next open door—it’s waiting on the version of you who stops sulking and starts stewarding the dream again.
🏀 The Ball Is in Your Hands
So what’s next?
Do you shoot?
Do you pass?
Do you run with it?
Or do you keep hiding behind the excuse that “I just can’t win for losing”?
Because I promise you, winning is constant.
You just have to get out of the way.
